ZONER software, a. s decided to widen their offer on the computer market in order to increase the complexity of services for ZONER customers, and as a result, the publishing house Zoner Press was established in 2004. Originally, academic computer literature publishing focused on the area of web and graphics.

At present, two editions in particular are noteworthy: ENCYCLOPAEDIA – GRAPHICS AND DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY. Everyone interested in graphic applications and photography (especially digital photography) will be pleased by this publication. There are books for professional graphic designers as well as amateur photographers. The site fotograficky.guru was created later, mainly for photographers and everyone who likes taking photos. There is regular news from the world of photography, manuals, advice, tips and tricks, information about new books on photography by ZonerPress, as well as online photography courses and e-books. There is something for beginners to advanced users, as well as professionals. To make the offer more complex, there is a live broadcast on various topics where you can join live chat with questions viewers are interested in.

In 2007, the publishing plan expanded to include a new edition in the free time category: Learn to draw and paint…These practical guides teach people interested in drawing and painting how to draw animals, the human body, portraits, flowers, landscapes, street art and amazing characters from the world of fantasy, manga, dark magic and horror. These are done by using various techniques, from classical drawing or painting, Zentangle relaxation technique or colouring.

Zoner Press is currently the most important publications publisher for photographers in the Czech Republic. The offer includes books on technique (cameras, lightning, studio equipment and more), but especially popular are “textbooks” of photographic procedures involving various genres: landscape, portrait, macro, fashion, act, sport, etc.
